The following scoring applies to all age categories.
20% Funds raised for the Relay for Life: The girl in each category with the most funds will receive the full 30 points. All other contestants will receive a percentage of the points based on the percentage of the funds raised in comparison to the top fundraiser in her category.
35% Personal Interview: Each girl will have a one on one interview with our panel of judges. Judges will look for poise, ability to carry on a conversation, and personality. Girls should wear an outfit appropriate for an interview.
35% Personality in Semiformal Dress: Girls will be judges on personality and confidence in how they carry themselves. Girls should wear a “semiformal” or “sundress.” Dresses to the floor are not necessary, but should not be much shorter than the knees.
10% “On Stage Question”: Girls will draw from a fishbowl and answer an impromptu question and well as the question “Why is Relay for Life important to you?” Judges are looking for personality and sincerity.
